Graduate Studies

For those pursuing an advanced degree, we offer the following graduate-level opportunities:

* The Theater concentration in the MFA in Visual and Performing Arts is a selective program designed for theater artists with some professional experience and who continue to work professionally during their course of study.  Students are admitted to a specific emphasis: acting, design and technical theater, or directing. Specific programs of study will be designed for each individual, based on previous experience and expertise.

*The Theater Concentration of the MFA in Visual and Performing Arts is currently at maximum capacity. Therefore no new applications to the Theater Concentration are being accepted at this time.

**The Teaching Theater PK-12 Graduate Certificate has been identified by George Mason University as one that may lead to a career requiring professional licensure/certification.  Federal regulations require Mason to disclose information as to whether this program meets/does not meet the educational requirements for licensure/certification in your state, or whether such a determination has not been made.  Please consult our Licensure Disclosure Tool for the disclosure statement specific to your desired state/program combination.
