Great Spaces Inspire Great Theater.
George Mason University is home to multiple state-of-the-art performance facilities. The School of Theater is located in the Donald and Nancy deLaski Performing Arts Building, which boasts two flexible black box theaters and rehearsal halls, as well as a costume shop, scene shop and prop storage. The nearby Music/Theater Building offers new smart classrooms, three rehearsal halls, a sound design studio, a lighting design lab, and a prop shop.
The School of Theater also uses such facilities as the Center for the Arts, featuring a 1900-seat Concert Hall, which houses multiple stages of varying sizes, the 475-seat Harris Theatre, and the Hylton Performing Arts Center on the Science and Technology campus in nearby Prince William County, which contains an 1100-seat Opera House and a 275-seat flexible theater. These buildings have all been renovated or built within the last ten years. Each stage is equipped with the most up-to-date technology.
