Make the world your stage by studying abroad for two weeks in London!
Freshmen are encouraged to audition for our School of Theater productions, and many of them are cast in significant roles in their first semester.
Each season, The Mason Players present nine productions, including mainstage plays and musicals, a Studio Series, two ten-minute play festivals featuring student-written work, a cabaret, a spring musical showcase and an annual fringe.
Show auditions are open to all full-time degree-seeking Mason students, including freshmen, all of whom are given equal consideration during the casting process. Mainstage shows are directed by faculty or professional guest artists, employing design teams of both students and professionals working together. Student directors have multiple opportunities to direct throughout the year.
The professors are very personable and passionate about their field, and I love how well-rounded the School of Theater is. Mason gives students the opportunity to study every aspect of theater no matter your concentration, and is a collaborative environment that provides endless opportunities for students.
